Pentecost

Fiery symbolism

Sometimes, the impossible happens. Flames dance and souls are transformed. This wonderful flower arrangement to me symbolises the madness of Pentecost, the craziness of Christian faith, the exuberance of letting go of earthbound restrictions.

Whatever happens at Pentecost, it is not safe and not ordinary. Thank God!

  1. Wonderful commentary, Chris! I love your photos...Pentecost seemsto be more celebrated in your neck of the woods than here!

Could you imagine being there when the first outpouring ocurred? I am sure it would have appeared to have been crazy, but WOW! Sometimes I wonder if our "Christian" ideas and ideals keep God's hands tied from moving in our own lives?

  2. P.S.

Saw your comment on Twitters last night regarding the "bumpies" on denim.

To get a "clean" hem on denim garments, you may use a hammer to pound the thick areas...kind of breaks it down a bit and makes it more manageable to pass over. No, I did not make this up!
